History of the LPIN Awards / Interested bystander's "A Short History of the Awards"

Interested bystander's "A Short History of the Awards"

The CWMC Awards started during the preparation for CWMC2 in July 1998.  Georgia Powers, webmaster of the now defunct GPPAYS.COM website, wanted to give out a few awards to highlight deserving brothel, providers, and others.  He put up a voting page on his Georgia Powers' Bordello Connection and asked posters on his message board to vote for their favorites in two categories, Brothel of the Year and Courtesan of the year for the year 1997.  GP also gave out another award called the GP's Choice award with the winner to be chosen by GP.  The results of the first year of voting resulted in Katherine Leigh of the Sagebrush Ranch 1 being chosen as Courtesan of the Year and the Sagebrush Ranch 1 winning Brothel of the Year.  Bashful, the publisher of a brothel FAQ on his old Bashful@paranoia.com website which was the seminal document that engendered the online LPIN community, won the GP's Choice award.  After the voting was completed GP called Interested bystander, who was organizing a dinner during CWMC2, and asked if he could present the awards during the dinner.  Katherine Leigh attended the dinner and accepted her award in person and also accepted the BOY award on behalf of the Sagebrush Ranch.  Bashful was on hand to accept his award also.

After CWMC2, GP was unsure whether he wanted to present awards again or not.  This ambivalence opened the door for another group to present awards.  At that time ICQ instant messaging was very new and all the rage among the online LPIN community.  During a chat one night that included Curious, Interested bystander, Klatch, Arcticbear, and other message board posters from the time it was decided that an awards committee would be formed to conduct voting and present two awards, Courtesan of the Year and Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of the people present in the chat and Bashful who was named chairman in absentia since he refused to use ICQ on his computer at that time.  Voting rules were worked out and a voting webpage was put on the net.  The Courtesan of the Year winner was Cindy Spice of the Sagebrush Ranch 1 while the Sagebrush Ranch 1 garnered their second straight Brothel of the Year award.  The awards were once again presented at the CWMC3 dinner.  Also at that dinner a group of posters presented an award to Tessa who was a prolific poster at that time and who had also worked at Kitty's Cathouse and the original Mustang Ranch.

The third year for the CWMC Awards was the year 2000 and CWMC4.  GP once again wanted to present awards as did Arcticbear.  They each held separate voting, GP on his website which had been renamed to GP's Bordello Connection and AB on his CWMC.ORG website.  For the purpose of this history and this website the GP's awards are recognized as the CWMC Awards and consist of a Courtesan of the Year award, Brothel of the Year award, and a John of the Year award all determined by public vote.  The Courtesan of the Year winner was Nikita of Kitty's Cathouse and Brothel of the Year was Kitty's Cathouse.  The John of the Year award was presented to Flyfisher.  The awards were to be presented at the CWMC4 dinner but were lost by the shipper so certificates were presented to the winners instead.  Flyfisher and Nikita were present to receive their awards while Dusty Rose accepted the BOY award on behalf of Kitty's Cathouse.

The fourth year for awards was 2001 and CWMC5.  This marked the last year that GP sponsored awards and also was the final year of GP's Bordello Connection as GP moved on to other interests and sold his GPPAYS.COM domain to a porn website redirector.  Again,  a public vote was held through GP's website ending in a three-way tie for Courtesan of the Year between Shannon of the Sagebrush Ranch 2, Nikita of Kitty's Cathouse, and Adele who worked at both Kitty's and the Sagebrush Ranch 1.  The Sagebrush Ranch 1 also won its third Brothel of the Year award.  GP also once again presented a GP's choice award to Alexa Albert, a researcher who had actually lived for a short time at the original Mustang Ranch and published the book "Brothel: Mustang Ranch and it's Women" in 2001 and included a section on the internet community in the book.  Alexa had interviewed a few GPPAYS posters at one of the CWMC picnics.  Due to the expense of replacing the lost awards from the previous year and purchasing three COY awards GP asked Arcticbear to help pay for the awards and in return Arcticbear was the presenter of the awards at the CWMC5 dinner.  Nikita and Shannon were both on hand to accept their awards while Shannon accepted for the Sagebrush Ranch.  Alexa Albert was unable to attend but did send a recorded acceptance speech which was not played due to technical difficulties.

The fifth year for awards was 2002 and CWMC6.  With GP out of the picture Arcticbear sponsored the awards for CWMC6 and called them the CWC awards.  A public vote was held by AB for four awards, Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year, and Most Improved Brothel of the Year.  Summer of the Chicken Ranch was selected as Courtesan of the Year while the Chicken Ranch won its first Brothel of the Year award.  The Shady Lady Ranch was chosen as the Small Brothel of the Year.  Sheri's Ranch was the Most Improved Brothel of the Year.  Two members of management from the Chicken Ranch were on hand to accept the BOY award and Bobbi, owner of the Shady Lady Ranch, was on hand to accept her award.

The sixth year for awards was 2003 and CWMC7.  This year there was no public voting.  Curious selected his own Courtesan of the Year, Chay of the Shady Lady Ranch, and also presented a couple of other people with awards.  The COY and other awards were presented at the CWM7 dinner.

After the lack of a public vote for CWMC7 there was a minor outcry for public awards which by this time had become an expected part of the CWMC festivities by not only the posters but the ladies and brothels as well.  FredT, a regular poster on both the Sex in Nevada and Nevada Brothels message boards, stepped up to sponsor awards and hold public voting for awards covering the year 2003 to be presented at CWMC8 in July 2004.  In his first year presenting awards FredT ended up with a tie vote.  The winners of the Courtesan of the Year award were Shanice of the Wild Horse Canyon Resort and Chay of the Shady Lady Ranch.  The Wild Horse Canyon Resort won the Brothel of the Year award while the Shady Lady won its second Small Brothel of the Year award.  Shanice and Chay were on hand to accept their awards while Shanice accepted for the Wild Horse.  Bobbi was presented with her award later as the dinner organizers did not want brothel management to attend for a number of reasons.

FredT sponsored awards once again in 2005 for CWMC9.  A website was put up and a public vote was held for the same three awards that were presented the previous year.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year was Tabitha of Lance's World Famous Brothel (now The World Famous Mustang Ranch) who had also worked at the Old Bridge Ranch during the year.  Brothel of the Year was once again the Wild Horse Canyon Resort with the Shady Lady Ranch winning a third Small Brothel of the Year award.  Bobbi, owner of the Shady Lady Ranch, had earlier protested the banning of owners and managers from the CWMC dinner and, during the voting process, had asked that her brothel be removed from the voting.  FredT decided it would be too difficult to redo the voting at that point and so, as a joke, most of the Shady Lady votes actually came in as "the Shady Lady just to piss Bobbi off".  Hopefully she received the results with the kidding humor that was intended.  Tabitha was unable to attend but there were ladies at the dinner from the Wild Horse to accept on their behalf.  Tabitha was presented with her award later at the brothel.  Also this year the now defunct Nevada Brothel Girl's website, which had been included for qualifying voters for two years, held their own Courtesan of the Year contest and they also voted Tabitha as their COY.  Fastweb announced the winner and displayed the award at the CWMC9 dinner and later presented the award to Tabitha at the brothel.

This brings us to 2006 and CWMC10.  FredT once again sponsored awards and put up a website for public voting.  The Courtesan of the Year winner was Carolina of the Wild Horse Canyon Resort.  Brothel of the Year once again went to the Wild Horse while the Shady Lady garnered its fourth Small Brothel of the Year award.  Carolina had planned to attend the dinner and was actually on her way when a regular customer showed up at the brothel and she had to return.  Several ladies from the Wild Horse were in attendance however and they accepted the BOY award for the Wild Horse.  Carolina was presented with her award later the same night at the brothel.  This year management was allowed at the dinner but none attended.  Bobbi had dropped her protest but was unable to attend the dinner and was presented with her award later.

In 2007 FredT was unable to attend CWMC 11 due to family commitments, therefore he was not going to finance awards or conduct voting.  Since the annual awards have become an expected part of the event a few members of the group got together and offered to help Fred with both the financing and voting.  The group consisted of FredT, ex-okie, Bashful, Interested bystander, and one other member of the group who for personal reasons would prefer to remain anonymous.  Despite insinuations to the contrary, no brothels, staff, or paid agents were involved in the award process.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year award was Jenny Lane of the Moonlite Bunnyranch.  The Brothel of the Year winner was once again the Wild Horse Adult Resort.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her fifth Small Brothel of the Year award.  There was a first this year in that it was the first time the Courtesan of the year did not work at the Brothel of the year with many voters splitting their ballots.

In 2008, CWMC 12, the Awards Committee continued to conduct voting and select awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of FredT, Bashful, Interested bystander, Little Richard, Hiking Guy, gimpyandlimpy, and one other member of the group who for personal reasons would prefer to remain anonymous.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year award was Anna Suvari of the Moonlite Bunnyranch.  The brothel of the Year winner was once again the Wild Horse Adult Resort and Spa.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her sixth Small Brothel of the Year award.

In 2009, CWMC 13, the Awards Committee continued to conduct voting and select awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of FredT, Bashful, Interested bystander, Little Richard, Hiking Guy, gimpyandlimpy, East Coast Guy.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year award was Anna Suvari of the Moonlite Bunnyranch.  The brothel of the Year winner was the Moonlite Bunnyranch.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her seventh Small Brothel of the Year award.

In 2010, CWMC 14, the Awards Committee continued to conduct voting and select awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year. Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her eighth Small Brothel of the Year award.  At the committee meeting held at the CWMC 14 picnic it was decided that in future contests previous Courtesan of the Year winners would be ineligible.  The thought was that this would allow other deserving ladies to be recognized.  BOY and SBOY winners were still eligible for future contests.

In 2011, CWMC 15, the Awards Committee continued to conduct voting and select awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of Interested bystander, Little Richard, Hiking Guy, gimpyandlimpy, ex-okie, Logcabin, afriend, sunseeker, and OldFatMan.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year award was Lexy of the Chicken Ranch.  The Brothel of the Year award was presented to the Love Ranch (formerly Madame Kitty's Fantasy Ranch, Kitty's Cathouse, Miss Kitty's Pussycat Lounge, and Bunnyranch 2).  The Small Brothel of the Year award was won by Inez's D&D in Elko.  Only Inez's was not in attendance so their award was later presented at the brothel.

In 2012, CWMC 16, the Awards Committee continued to conduct voting and select awards for the Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of afriend, ex-okie, gimpyandlimpy, Hiking Guy, Interested bystander, Little Richard, Logcabin, OldFatMan, and sunseeker.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year award was Envy of Sheri's Ranch.  The Brothel of the Year award went to Sheri's Ranch.  The Small Brothel of the Year award was won by the Dovetail in Carlin.  All winners had a representative on hand to accept the awards.

History of the LPIN Awards

In 2017, the Awards Committee conducted nominations in February, voting in March through April and selected awards for 2016 Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Rural brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of firefighter, highdrive, Lecher, Little Richard, Mikey, and MrTShirt.  Mikey hosted his second Annual Awards Banquet.  All fifteen finalists, Alice Little, Coco, Kitti Minx, Rachel Varga, Victoria, Chicken Ranch, Love Ranch, Mustang Ranch, Sagebrush Ranch, Sheri's Ranch, Alien Cathouse, Desert Club, Dovetail Ranch, Inez's D&D and Mona's Ranch, were presented framed certificates, and the three winners, Rachel Varga, Mustang Ranch and Dovetail Ranch, were presented framed certificates plus Crystal Art Duet Flame Awards.  Rachel Varga of Mustang Ranch won Courtesan of the Year on her first nomination and first year in LPIN, Mustang Ranch won their fourth consecutive Brothel of the Year, and the Dovetail Ranch won their fifth Rural Brothel of the Year.  Rachel Varga and Madam Tara attended and accepted the COY and BOY awards respectively.  Lee delivered and presented the RBOY Award to Madam Monica at the Dovetail Ranch on Saturday following the Awards Banquet.  Mikey held a Hawaiian shirt contest and Dtech was the winner; Jade Capri donated the $50 prize and Dtech very generously donated it back to the awards committee fund.

The cwmcawards.com website was permanently shutdown on August 15, 2017 in preparation for termination.  Subsequently, the Awards Committee registered two domains and constructed two websites.  CWMC Awards, cwmcawards.net, was established to preserve the history of the awards.  LPIN Awards, lpinawards.com, was established to continue the awards contests.  The Awards Committee had permanently separated from SIN, so the decision was made to coordinate the awards contests under LPIN Awards.  There were multiple legitimate reasons for this decision.  LPIN Awards does not have an affiliation or relationship with any other organization, but CWMC Awards had a historic connection to SIN which the awards committee felt must be severed.  Also, the CWMC acronym carried an unsavory connotation that LPIN Awards does not possess.  LPIN Awards better defines the awards, and may be more socially acceptable while not being offensive to Courtesans.  LPIN Awards is totally separate and independent; therefore, registered voters are not required to be members of any other message board.  All LPIN Courtesans who worked during the award year (except previous winners) or Brothels that operated during the period would be eligible candidates.

The LPIN Awards Committee would like to acknowledge and thank Courtesan of the Year Rachel Varga for donating an exceptionally generous gift of professional web developer custom services to configure the LPIN Awards websites to awards committee specifications.  The Awards Committee would not have been able to administer a first-rate contest without Rachel Varga's contribution, and may not have been able to coordinate a 2017 contest period.  The LPIN Community owes Rachel a great debt of gratitude for her benevolence and generosity.

In 2018, the LPIN 2017 Awards contest was coordinated with the Nomination Round in February 2018, the Preliminary Voting Round in March 2018, the Final Voting Round in April 2018, and the awards were presented at the LPIN Awards Banquet on July 20, 2018.  The LPIN Awards Committee conducted voting and selected awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Rural Brothel of the Year.  The Official LPIN 2017 Awards Registered Voters List increased by 29 voters due largely to the fact that LPIN Awards is totally independent and not affiliated with any message board.  The committee consisted of firefighter, FumbleNutts, highdrive, Little Richard, Mikey and MrTShirt.  Mikey hosted the Annual Banquet for the third straight year, and it was promoted as the LPIN Awards Banquet to avoid confusion due to the proposed organization of a competitive awards contest.  All fifteen finalists, Lexie James, Roxy, Roxy Gold, Vanity Affair, Victoria, Chicken Ranch, Love Ranch, Mustang Ranch, Sagebrush Ranch, Sheri's Ranch, Desert Club, Dovetail Ranch, Inez's D&D, Love Ranch South and Mona's Ranch, were presented framed finalist certificates, and the three winners, Roxy, Mustang Ranch and Dovetail Ranch, were presented framed winner certificates plus Crystal Art Triad Flame Awards.

Roxy of Dovetail Ranch won LPIN 2017 Awards Courtesan of the Year on her first nomination, Mustang Ranch won their fifth consecutive Brothel of the Year, and Dovetail Ranch won their sixth Rural Brothel of the Year award.  Roxy, Madam Monica, Madam Tara and Madam Jennifer attended and accepted the COY, RBOY and BOY awards respectively.  Interested bystander and Rachel Varga were presented Certificates of Appreciation for their assistance to ensure the continuation of the awards contests.  In addition, Rachel Varga was presented a Crystal Art Triad Flame 2016 Courtesan of the Year Award, since it was appropriate that she receive the first LPIN Award due to her support of the awards contests and generous gift of professional web developer services.  Rachel Varga's BrothelLife was recognized as the Best Independent Forum.  Goldie was presented a Most Respected Hoserette Certificate.  Mikey held a Hawaiian shirt contest and Dtech was the winner for the second straight year.

History of the CWMC Awards

In 1997, Bashful, publisher of a brothel FAQ on the now extinct Bashfulparanoia.com website which was the seminal document that engendered the online LPIN community, posted on Georgia Powers' board that he would be in northern Nevada the third week of July 1997 and anyone who wanted to meet him was welcome to show up.  He posted what times he would be at each brothel on each day and that folks could recognize him because he would be wearing red suspenders.  About 20 people showed up but no more than 12 were together at any one time.  This was the birth of CWMC 1 in July 1997.  The banquet happened when an original poster called Doc suggested they have dinner at Rapscallions, a local Reno seafood restaurant.  However, awards were not presented, because CWMC Awards had not yet been organized.

In 1998, CWMC Awards started during the preparation for CWMC 2 in July 1998.  Georgia Powers, webmaster of the now defunct GPPAYS.com website, wanted to give out a few awards to honor deserving brothels, providers, and others.  GP put up a voting page on his GP's Bordello Connection and asked posters on his message board to vote for their favorites in two CWMC 1997 Awards categories which were Brothel of the Year and Courtesan of the Year.  Also, Georgia Powers gave out another award named GP's Choice award with the winner to be chosen by GP.  The first year of voting resulted in Katherine Leigh of Sagebrush Ranch 1 being chosen as Courtesan of the Year and Sagebrush Ranch 1 winning Brothel of the Year.  Bashful was chosen for GP's Choice award.  After the voting was completed Georgia Powers contacted Interested bystander who was organizing a dinner during the Annual Reno Meeting, and asked if he could present the awards during the banquet.  Katherine Leigh attended the banquet accepting her award, and accepted the BOY award on behalf of Sagebrush Ranch.  Bashful was on hand to accept his award too.

In 1999, Georgia Powers was unsure whether he wanted to present awards again or not.  This ambivalence opened the door for another group to present awards.  At that time ICQ instant messaging was very new and all the rage among the online LPIN community.  During a chat one night that included Interested bystander, Arcticbear, Curious, Klatch, and other message board posters from the time, it was decided that an awards committee would be formed to conduct voting and present CWMC 1998 Awards for Courtesan of the Year and Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of the people present in the chat and Bashful was named chairman in absentia since he refused to use ICQ on his computer at that time.  Voting rules were worked out and a voting webpage was put on the Internet.  The Courtesan of the Year winner was Cindy Spice of Sagebrush Ranch 1 while Sagebrush Ranch 1 captured their second straight Brothel of the Year award.  The awards were presented at the Awards Banquet hosted by Flyfisher and Curious in July 1999.  Also at that dinner a group of posters presented an award to Tessa who was a prolific poster at that time and had worked at Kitty's Cathouse and the original Mustang Ranch.

In 2000, it was the third year for the awards.  Georgia Powers wanted to present awards as did Arcticbear.  They each held separate voting, Georgia Powers on his website which had been renamed GP's Bordello Connection and Arcticbear on his CWMC.org website.  For the purpose of this history, the GP's awards are recognized as the CWMC Awards.  The CWMC 1999 Awards consisted of Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and John of the Year all of which were determined by public vote.  The Courtesan of the Year winner was Nikita of Kitty's Cathouse and Brothel of the Year was Kitty's Cathouse.  The John of the Year award was presented to Flyfisher.  The awards were to be presented at the Awards Banquet, but were lost by the shipper so certificates were presented to the winners instead.  Interested bystander and Sheri hosted their second Annual Banquet.  Flyfisher and Nikita were present to receive their awards while Dusty Rose accepted the BOY award on behalf of Kitty's Cathouse.

In 2001, the fourth year for presentations was CWMC 2000 Awards.  This marked the last year that Georgia Powers sponsored awards.  Also, it was the final year of GP's Bordello Connection as GP moved on to other interests and sold his GPPAYS.com domain to a porn website redirector.  A public vote was held for awards through GP's website ending in a three-way tie for Courtesan of the Year between Shannon of Sagebrush Ranch 2, Nikita of Kitty's Cathouse who had won in 1999, and Adele who worked at both Kitty's and Sagebrush Ranch 1.  Sagebrush Ranch 1 won their third Brothel of the Year award.  Also, Georgia Powers presented a GP's choice award to Alexa Albert, a researcher who had actually lived for a short time at the original Mustang Ranch and published the book "Brothel: Mustang Ranch and its Women" in 2001 and included a section on the Internet community in the book.  Alexa had interviewed a few GPPAYS posters at one of the Annual Picnics.  Due to the expense of replacing the lost awards from the previous year and purchasing three COY awards GP asked Arcticbear to help pay for the awards and in return Arcticbear was the presenter of the awards at the July 2001 Awards Banquet.  Interested bystander and Sheri hosted their third Annual Banquet.  Nikita and Shannon were both on hand to accept their awards while Shannon accepted for Sagebrush Ranch.  Alexa Albert was unable to attend but did send a recorded acceptance speech which was not played due to technical difficulties.

In 2002, the fifth year for presentations was CWMC 2001 Awards.  With Georgia Powers out of the picture Arcticbear sponsored the awards and called them the CWC awards.  A public vote was held by Arcticbear for four awards, Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, Small Brothel of the Year, and Most Improved Brothel of the Year.  Arcticbear hosted the Annual Awards Banquet.  Summer of the Chicken Ranch was selected as CWMC 2001 Awards Courtesan of the Year while the Chicken Ranch won the Brothel of the Year award.  The Shady Lady Ranch in Beatty was chosen as the Small Brothel of the Year.  Sheri's Ranch was named the Most Improved Brothel of the Year.  Two members of management from the Chicken Ranch were on hand to accept the BOY award, and Bobbi, owner of the Shady Lady Ranch, was on hand to accept her SBOY award.

In 2003, the sixth year for presentations was CWMC 2002 Awards.  This year there was no public voting.  Curious selected his own Courtesan of the Year, Chay of the Shady Lady Ranch, and presented a couple of other people with awards.  The COY and other awards were presented at the July 2003 dinner.  Bree hosted the Annual Banquet.

In 2004, after the lack of a public vote the previous year there was a minor outcry for public awards which by this time had become an expected part of the festivities by not only the posters but the Courtesans and brothels as well.  FredT, a regular poster on both the Sex in Nevada and Nevada Brothels message boards, stepped up to sponsor awards and hold a contest for CWMC 2003 Awards to be presented in July 2004.  In his first year presenting awards FredT ended up with a tie vote.  The Courtesan of the Year winners were Shanice of the Wild Horse Canyon Resort and Chay of the Shady Lady Ranch.  The Wild Horse Canyon Resort won the Brothel of the Year award while the Shady Lady won their second Small Brothel of the Year award.  Bree hosted the Annual Banquet for the second time.  Shanice and Chay were on hand to accept their awards while Shanice accepted for the Wild Horse Canyon Resort.  Bobbi was presented with her Shady Lady Ranch SBOY award later since the dinner organizers did not want brothel management to attend for a number of reasons.

In 2005, FredT sponsored the awards for the second consecutive year.  A website was put up and a public vote was held for the same three awards that were presented the previous year, Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year & Small Brothel of the Year.  The CWMC 2004 Awards Courtesan of the Year winner was Tabitha of Lance Gilman's World Famous Brothel (now The World Famous Mustang Ranch) who had also worked at the Old Bridge Ranch during the year.  The Brothel of the Year was the Wild Horse Canyon Resort for the second consecutive year.  The Shady Lady Ranch captured a third Small Brothel of the Year.  Bobbi, owner of the Shady Lady Ranch had earlier protested the prohibition of owners and managers from the Awards Banquet, and during the voting process had asked that her brothel be removed from the voting.  FredT decided it would be too difficult to redo the voting at that point so, as a joke, most of the Shady Lady votes actually came in as "the Shady Lady just to piss Bobbi off."  Hopefully she received the results with the kidding humor that was intended.  Tabitha was unable to attend but there were Courtesans at the dinner from the Wild Horse to accept on her behalf.  Tabitha was presented with her award later at the brothel.  Also this year the now defunct Nevada Brothel Girl's website, which had been included for qualifying voters for two years, held their own Courtesan of the Year contest and they also voted Tabitha as their COY.  Fastweb announced the winner and displayed the award at the July 2005 dinner and later presented the award to Tabitha at the brothel.

In 2006, FredT sponsored the awards for the third straight year in July 2006, and set up a website for public voting.  The CWMC 2005 Awards Courtesan of the Year winner was Carolina of the Wild Horse Canyon Resort, Brothel of the Year for the third straight year went to the Wild Horse, while the Shady Lady garnered their fourth Small Brothel of the Year.  Carolina had planned to attend the dinner and was actually on her way when a regular customer showed up at the brothel and she had to return.  Several Ladies from the Wild Horse were in attendance, however, and they accepted the BOY award for the Wild Horse.  Carolina was presented with her award later the same night at the brothel.  This year management was allowed at the dinner but none attended.  Interested bystander and Sheri hosted their fourth Annual Banquet.  Bobbi had dropped her protest but was unable to attend the dinner and was presented with her award later.

In 2007, FredT was unable to attend due to family commitments; therefore, he wasn't going to finance awards or conduct voting.  Since the annual awards had become an expected part of the event a few members of the group got together and offered to help Fred with both financing and voting.  The group consisted of FredT, Bashful, ex_okie, Interested bystander, and one other member of the group who for personal reasons preferred to remain anonymous.  Gimpyandlimpy hosted the Annual Banquet.  Despite insinuations to the contrary, no brothels, staff, or paid agents were involved in the awards process.  The winner of the CWMC 2006 Awards Courtesan of the Year was Jenny Lane of Moonlite Bunny Ranch.  The Brothel of the Year winner was the Wild Horse Adult Resort for the fourth year in a row.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her fifth Small Brothel of the Year award.  There was a first this year in that it was the first time the Courtesan of the Year did not work at the Brothel of the Year with many voters splitting their ballots.

In 2008, the Awards Committee continued to conduct voting and select awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of FredT, Bashful, gimpyandlimpy, Hiking Guy, Interested bystander, Little Richard, and one other member of the group who for personal reasons preferred to remain anonymous.  Jagged hosted the Annual Banquet.  The winner of the CWMC 2007 Awards Courtesan of the Year award was Anna Suvari of Moonlite Bunny Ranch.  The Brothel of the Year winner was the Wild Horse Adult Resort and Spa for a record fifth straight year.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her sixth Small Brothel of the Year award.

In 2009, the Awards Committee conducted voting and selected awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year winners.  The CWMC 2008 Awards Committee consisted of FredT, Bashful, East Coast Guy, gimpyandlimpy, Hiking Guy, Interested bystander, and Little Richard.  Flyfisher hosted the Annual Banquet.  The winner of the Courtesan of the Year award was Anna Suvari of Moonlite Bunny Ranch for the second time.  The Brothel of the Year winner was Moonlite Bunny Ranch.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered her seventh Small Brothel of the Year award.

In 2010, the Awards Committee conducted voting and selected awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of FredT, Bashful, East Coast Guy, gimpyandlimpy, Hiking Guy, Interested bystander, and Little Richard.  Shooter hosted the Annual Banquet.  The CWMC 2009 Awards Courtesan of the Year Winner was Anna Suvari of Moonlite Bunny Ranch for the third straight year.  The Brothel of the Year winner was Moonlite Bunny Ranch for the second straight year.  Bobbi of the Shady Lady Ranch garnered a record eighth Small Brothel of the Year.  At the committee meeting held at the Annual Picnic it was decided that in future contests previous Courtesan of the Year winners would be ineligible.  The thought was that this would allow other deserving Courtesans to be recognized.  BOY and SBOY winners were still eligible for future contests.

In 2011, the Awards Committee conducted voting and selected awards for Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of Interested bystander, afriend, ex_okie, gimpyandlimpy, Hiking Guy, Little Richard, Logcabin, OldFatMan and sunseeker.  Sportsman hosted the Annual Banquet.  The CWMC 2010 Awards Courtesan of the Year winner was Lexy of the Chicken Ranch.  The Brothel of the Year award was presented to the Love Ranch (formerly Madame Kitty's Fantasy Ranch, Kitty's Cathouse, Miss Kitty's Pussycat Lounge, and Bunny Ranch 2).  The Small Brothel of the Year award was won by Inez's D&D in Elko.  Only Inez's was not in attendance so their SBOY Award was later presented at the brothel.

In 2012, the Awards Committee conducted voting and selected awards for CWMC 2011 Awards Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Small Brothel of the Year.  The committee consisted of Interested bystander, afriend, ex_okie, gimpyandlimpy, Hiking Guy, Little Richard, Logcabin, OldFatMan, and sunseeker.  Little Richard hosted the Annual Awards Banquet.  The Courtesan of the Year winner was Envy of Sheri's Ranch.  The Brothel of the Year went to Sheri's Ranch.  The Small Brothel of the Year was won by the Dovetail Ranch in Carlin.  All winners had a representative on hand to accept the awards.

In 2014, the Awards Committee conducted voting and selected awards for CWMC 2013 Awards Courtesan of the Year, Brothel of the Year, and Rural Brothel of the Year.  Small Brothel of the Year was changed to Rural Brothel of the Year for CWMC 2013 Awards.  The committee consisted of Interested bystander, ex_okie, gimpyandlimpy, Goldie, Hiking Guy, Little Richard, and Oddball.  Goldie hosted the Annual Awards Banquet.  Carrera of Mustang Ranch won Courtesan of the Year, Mustang Ranch won Brothel of the Year, and the Dovetail Ranch won their second Rural Brothel of the Year.

Interested bystander became involved in CWMC Awards during 1998, and was the cwmcawards.com owner, administrator, webmaster, awards team advisor, and awards committee member for thirteen years before relinquishing the board in September 2015 due to health issues.  Interested bystander composed "A Short History of the CWMC Awards" for remembrance so the history would be preserved.  These Courtesans, Brothels and special recipients are the 1998 through 2014 "CWMC Award Winners by Year" who were honored and presented awards at the Annual Awards Banquets that IB recorded in chronological order for eternal praise and recognition.  IB and Sheri have continued to host the traditional Annual Picnic too.

I've been asked to post my usual announcement for this year so here it is.
Below is the FAQ that I post each year.

Dear Friends,

The twenty-ninth Annual LPIN Gathering will be held from Wednesday, July 16, 2025 through Sunday, July 20, 2025.
This is an annual meeting of people (Courtesans and their customers) who work and visit at the legal Nevada brothels.  Please consider this an open invitation for you to attend -- just read the following and you should find answers to all of your questions.

The following are frequently asked questions and their answers:

1. When/where is the Awards Banquet?
The Awards Banquet will be hosted by firefighter this year.
The awards presentations banquet dinner will be hosted in Reno on Friday July 18, 2025.

The Awards Banquet is a private event that is open to the general public at the sole discretion of those who are hosting it.  Most strangers/newbies are welcome to attend the Banquet (several do every year), but since it is a private function you must get advance approval from those hosting it as they do reserve the right to refuse invitation to anyone they so choose.  The only way you can know if you can attend the Banquet is to contact the host.  Friday July 18, 2025 Awards Presentations Banquet

2. When/where is the Picnic/Barbeque?

The picnic/barbeque will be held the morning and afternoon of Saturday July 19, 2025.
The picnic will be hosted by Interested bystander.

The picnic will start at 10:00 AM and last until 5:00 PM or until everyone has left, we have no curfew this year so everyone can stay as long as they want.  There will be typical continental breakfast available in the morning (coffee, milk, fruit, pastries, etc.) and we will start preparing to cook lunch around noon.  Lunch will consist of typical picnic fare such as hamburgers and hotdogs.  Everyone is welcome at the picnic but we need everyone to RSVP so that we will know how many people are coming and you will know where the picnic is being held.  If you would like to attend the picnic please email Interested bystander at ib1@nvbell.net and let him know how many will be in your party.  The picnic location will be sent by return email.

4. When/where are the afternoon meetings?

In earlier years we held afternoon meetings at different bars/restaurants, but in recent years we have left the afternoons open for brothel-hopping and brothel-sponsored events.  If you would like to host an afternoon event please email Interested bystander with the details.

5. Will there be any afternoon brothel-sponsored barbeques or evening/night brothel-sponsored cocktail parties?

For many years Mustang Ranch has hosted a Cocktail / Hawaiian Pool Party on Thursday night (July 17th) during the week.
Mustang Ranch has hosted the Pool Party Barbeque the past several years.
If you know about a brothel-sponsored function planned for the week, or are a brothel owner or manager planning an event, then please contact Interested bystander at ib1@nvbell.net.

6. Who can attend these meetings?

Anyone.  The public meetings listed above are open to anyone who wants to attend.  There is no real agenda, just some friends getting together and talking about computers and prostitutes and whatever else comes to mind.  However, for some private events like the Friday night Banquet and Saturday Picnic/Barbeque, you must make advance reservations and get the approval from the hosts to attend, but for public events like the morning meetings and brothel-sponsored events, just show up.

7. I don't want anyone to know who I am!

Then don't tell us!  Make up a name.  We will not invade your privacy, though we will certainly ask you general questions like, "Which girls have you boinged?"

8. How many people are going to be there?

It's really difficult to tell how many people attend because no one attends all events but the banquet usually has around 50-60 people and the picnic is usually around 30 people.

9. What girls will be working?

The best way to determine who will be working is to check the websites for the brothels you would like to visit.

10. Is there a designated hotel that'll serve as headquarters?

No.

11. How formal are these meetings?

Extremely informal.  Drop in and out of them as you please.  People will come and go randomly and various spontaneous and unscheduled events will occur.

12. When will guys be visiting the brothels?

In general, guys and gals are visiting the brothels when the spirit moves them.  If you want to meet with your friends at a brothel then you can always email them ahead of time and arrange to meet at one of the brothels.

13. Where can I find information on voting for the annual LPIN Awards for Award Year 2024?

There will be public voting for awards this year.
The sponsors of the awards have set up a website at http://lpinawards.com/index.php?board=4.0 with information on past awards plus information on voting for the current awards. http://lpinawards.com/index.php?board=11.0
